Obituary from Don Fluckinger Facebook Post 2/13/2022

The world will never be the same. Today, Kate Binder, my wife and partner of 27-1/2 years, passed away. On New Year’s Eve, we went to the ER after she suffered a headache that we couldn’t fix at home – after she had been, alarmingly, forgetting many things. A CT scan, MRI and biopsy quickly confirmed a massive, malignant and aggressive glioblastoma. She elected hospice care.

I want to thank the hundreds of friends, family, church people and coworkers who stepped in and helped us in our hour of vulnerability. We don’t deserve you, but yet you showed up (and will continue to) during this period of shock, sadness and separation.

A memorial service will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd, 214 Main Street, Nashua, NH, Saturday 2/18 at 10AM. It will also be broadcast on YouTube (https://tinyurl.com/2jynvxbw). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the CGS Endowment Fund here (https://onrealm.org/cgsnashua/-/form/give/bor). Your contribution will support this open and affirming community she loved so much – and loved us back – and which Kate strove to sustain through a difficult period of leadership change and pandemic disruption.

“Life is short. We don't have much time to gladden the hearts of those who walk this way with us. So, be swift to love and make haste to be kind.” ― Henri-Frédéric Amiel
