Contemplative Prayer and Brown Bag Lunch and Book Study

Every Monday at 11:30am we will gather in the sanctuary of the Church for a half hour of quiet Contemplative Prayer. We'll follow our prayer time with Book Study and brown bag lunch.

All are welcome to join!

Contemplative prayer is a practice of centering yourself in prayer and opening to God's presence. After Prayer we will move to the Lounge for lunch and book discussion. We will be reading books that deepen our spiritual journey and challenge us to broaden our theological understanding.

You may join us for both, or come just for prayer or for book study. If you come to the book study, feel free to bring a lunch. Our current book is The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life by Henri J.M . Nouwen.

I hope to see you there! Pastor Kathy

Rector's Meeting March 24, 7-8pm on Zoom

Looking for an opportunity to go a bit deeper into church happenings than what can be covered in our weekly announcements? Join Pastor Kathy and members of the Vestry for our second Rector's Meeting. At this meeting we will give highlights on what's going on at the church, let you know about opportunities to get involved, answer questions, and pray together. A subsequent Rector's meeting will be held in June. Together with our previous Rector’s Meeting in November and Annual Meeting in January, it is my hope that these occasions will provide opportunities throughout the church year for us to touch base and catch up on the various happenings here at CGS.
