Good Friday - Stations of the Cross
Join us for CGS Stations of the Cross City Walk--A Search for Home
Meet in the Sanctuary of CGS.
The fourteen stations in this liturgy are based strictly on events in the Gospels and have been adapted to locations around the Church of the Good Shepherd in Nashua. Because CGS is located on Main Street, the congregation has long experienced the issues faced by an urban church. Nashua has experienced a dramatic increase in unhoused individuals, caused in part by housing shortages, a lack of funds for mental health and addiction care, and the actions of surrounding communities. The increase in the unhoused population has caused friction in the city, as shelters in Nashua have struggled to keep up with the number of people on the streets. How do we as Christians, respond?
As we walk through the neighborhood around CGS we will stop at "stations" and strive to see our neighbors as Christ sees them and us, as beloved children of God, redeemed by his Sacrifice. We will renew and affirm the CGS community’s commitment to our baptismal vow to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves.
The liturgy for this walk was created by our own Sarah Patton. We hope you can join us.

Looking for an opportunity to go a bit deeper into church happenings than what can be covered in our weekly announcements? Join Pastor Kathy and members of the Vestry for our second Rector's Meeting. A subsequent Rector's meeting will be held in June. Together with our previous Rector’s Meeting in November and Annual Meeting in January, it is my hope that these occasions will provide opportunities throughout the church year for us to touch base and catch up on the various happenings here at CGS.
